America’s No.1 food lifestyle brand, Taste of Home inspires togetherness through creative cooking, sharing and entertaining.

About Taste of Home

Taste of Home is, at heart, a friendly exchange of authentic family-favorite recipes handed down over generations and shared among loved ones.

Taste of Home recipes are practical because they’re from home cooks—not gourmet chefs—and feature familiar, everyday ingredients; clear, beautiful photos; and easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. And because each is individually tested by culinary experts in our Test Kitchen, Taste of Home recipes are reliable; we guarantee that you can count on success each time you prepare one.

But more than simply offering recipes, Taste of Home fosters a strong and loyal sense of community among like-minded home cooks of all ages, who share food preparation secrets and tips, humorous and heartwarming anecdotes, and glimpses into their kitchens, their homes and their lives.

Taste of Home is the world’s leading food media brand; we publish magazines, special interest recipe collections for sale at retail and grocery stores each year, dozens of cookbooks, and we host more than 200 local cooking schools around the country each year.

2- Spend With Pennies
 Spend With Pennies

Easy Home Cooked Comfort. Comforting recipes for the everyday cook, household tips, ideas and more.

About the owner:

A wife, mother of 4,  and a passionate home cook.  I am also a wine and cheese lover and the recipe creator and photographer behind Spend With Pennies.

While I’m trained in biological technology to work in a research lab, my days are now spent in the kitchen and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!  You’ll always find me in either immersed in ingredients & recipe chaos, behind my camera capturing or on my computer sharing.

I am married to the man of my dreams with four amazing kids aged 15, 21, 22 and 26 along with an amazing son-in-law! We have two sweet little dogs who love carrots more than anything else in the world (they’re both Havanese crosses for those of you wondering)!

How I learned to Cook

Over the past 25 years, I have become very passionate about cooking for my own family and friends!  In that time I’ve spent many years learning, testing, trying and growing my knowledge in the kitchen (my favorite being cooking classes in Italy and a recent culinary boot camp at our local culinary school)!

3- Allrecipes

Allrecipes is the #1 place for recipes, cooking tips, & food videos—all rated & reviewed by millions of home cooks. Follow our boards for recipes you can trust.
Allrecipes

Allrecipes is the original and largest food-focused social network created for cooks by cooks; where everyone plays a part in helping cooks discover and share the joy of home cooking

It started with a cookie (not the Internet kind…) two decades ago when the founder Tim Hunt, a UW anthropology graduate student craving his mom’s homemade cookies got to thinking this new thing called the Internet would be a really cool place for cooks, to exchange favorite recipes.

Tim created cookierecipe.com as an experiment to see if others would respond to his idea. As it turns out, cooks had a huge appetite for sharing recipes; the site was an instant success. Over the next 20 years, Tim and his crew rolled out more sites and social features allowing cooks of all types and interests to connect through recipes, reviews, ratings, photos, profiles, blog posts, personal collections, and more.

What started with a single cookie recipe has grown organically to become the world’s largest food-focused social network with a community of 85 million home cooks consuming 3 billion pages annually of food inspiration across our 19 sites serving 24 countries in 12 languages. I invite you to join our one-of-a-kind community that inspires home cooking and celebrates the foods we make with friends, family, brands and followers. Calling all cooks!
