Princess Beatrice Is Engaged to Her Boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

A few days after she celebrated Christmas 2018 with the rest of the royal family at the Queen's Sandringham estate, Princess Beatrice, 30, flew to an island off Kenya where she was photographed with her new boyfriend, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (also known as Edo), for the first time. The couple have been dating since last September, but kept their relationship extremely low-key...until that Christmas. The couple made their first public appearance together at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Now, Edo is joining the royal family! Beatrice announced that he proposed on a recent trip to Italy (where they were vacationing ahead of Misha Nonoo's Rome wedding, also attended by Harry and Meghan). "We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement," the couple said in a statement.

"We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness."
