Baby Yoda, the breakout star of the new Star Wars live action series The Mandalorian, is suddenly everywhere—by which we mean in every social media feed. The Child, as the tiny green character is officially titled, has been memed for his penchant for touching things he's been asked not to touch.

If you're talking pure numbers, Baby Yoda has seen 2.28 million social media interactions on news stories since Nov. 12, when The Mandalorian and Disney Plus premiered.

In that same time period, Biden has seen 8 million, Sanders has 2.9 million, and Elizabeth Warren 2.53 million, but Baby Yoda hasn't had nearly as many stories written about it as the candidates, the site says.

This creature of unknown provenance, introduced at the end of The Mandalorian’s first episode, has become an instant and indelible pop-culture phenomenon. Its fandom is obsessive, transcending age and experience. In an era of bitter division on nearly all matters, there is seemingly unanimous adoration for this tiny alien creature.

The puppet, the realness of it, is a triumph of design. The inside of his sideways bunny ears is the color of a sunset on your happiest day. His supple green skin is the texture of pistachio pudding, and his bottomless black eyes are so massively dilated they can only see the goodness in us, vanityfair reported.
