Jeremy Vine panelist accuses Meghan Markle of 'domestic abuse'

A panelist on the Jeremy Vine Show has sparked outrage for suggesting Meghan Markle is a 'domestic abuser'.

Lois Perry, who has in the past claimed she was groomed like the British ISIS suspect Shamima Begum and alleged she had a 'moment' with Boris Johnson , insisted Prince Harry is a victim of domestic abuse.

In the wake of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision to step down from being senior royals, Lois claimed: "Meghan has isolated Harry from his family. He is very vulnerable.

"Meghan Markle, by design, has already told her US publicists she wants to 'break the internet'. To achieve that, her plan is to 'break the Royal family ' using Prince Harry to leverage off," she continued.

Lois also compared mum-of-one Meghan to the American divorcee Wallis Simpson, who along with King Edward VIII sparked a constitutional crisis when it was made public they intended to marry.

Their engagement led to Edward's abdication, allowing the Queen's father George VI to ascend the throne.

Lois, who has previously spoken about being a victim of abuse and violence herself, added: "I recognise the signs: isolated from friends and family, check. Create an under siege and us-against-them mentality, check."

Her outrageous comments come after Meghan herself opened up about feeling vulnerable as a pregnant woman, thanks to right-wing press and trolls throwing abuse at her.

Speaking to ITV journalist Tom Bradby for last year's documentary Harry And Meghan: An African Journey, Meghan said: "Look, any woman - especially when they are pregnant - you're really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging, and then when you have a new born – you know…

"And especially as a woman, it’s a lot. So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed it’s, well..." she trailed off.

The duchess added: "And, also thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m OK. But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes."

She and Harry are set to divide their time between the UK and North America, with their baby son Archie.

The happy family spent Christmas in Canada with Meghan's mum Doria Ragland and dropped their bombshell statement on Wednesday evening without discussing it with the Queen first.

Prince Charles has made it clear he will stop funding Harry and Meghan if they completely ditch royal life, according to reports. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex currently get about 95% of their costs covered by the Prince of Wales who is said to be ‘hurt’ at not being consulted before their shock announcement to step back as ‘senior royals’. Last night the Queen ordered royal officials to come together with the Sussexes to find a swift solution to the crisis. However, Meghan has returned to Canada leaving Harry to face the wrath of his ‘disappointed’ family, including father Charles and brother William.
