Star Siblings: Top 12 Famous Celebrity Sisters and Brothers

Maybe they’re born with it! They say that lightning never strikes the same place twice, but the opposite seems to be true for celebrity siblings. Famous brothers and sisters, such as Jaden and Willow Smith, Beyoncé and Solange Knowles,  Serena and Venus Williams and the Olsen twins appear to have star power running in their genes.

Born to the same parents, these relatives not only followed similar life paths, pursuing careers in acting, music, sports and reality TV, but made names for themselves apart from their famous family members.

1. Beyoncé and Solange Knowles

Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born in Houston, Texas, to Celestine “Tina” Knowles (née Beyonce), a hairdresser and salon owner, and Mathew Knowles, a Xerox sales manager. Beyoncé's name is a tribute to her mother's maiden name. Beyoncé's younger sister Solange Knowles is also a singer and a former backup dancer for Destiny's Child. Solange and Beyoncé are the first sisters to have both had No. 1 albums. Mathew is African American, and Tina is of Louisiana Creole descent (French, Native American, and African), and distant Jewish, Spanish, Chinese and Indonesian ancestry. Through her mother, Beyoncé is a descendant of Acadian leader Joseph Broussard, as well as a direct decendent of Jean-Vincent d'Abbadie de Saint-Castin. In 2018, Beyoncé researched her ancestry and found out that she is descended from a slaveowner.

I tried my best to do the same things you do, but I think there will be other opportunities.” She also gushed about the arrival of her niece, Alexis Olympia, to reporters in September 2017, saying, “I’m super excited. Words can’t describe.”
